The simple answer is, that they play down to fewer tables, so each winner didn't come from individual groups. They played each other when there were only two tables left and possibly before that.

HYPOTHETICAL Example: there are 36 players at the start. At table 1, four players still have chips left at the break. Table 2 only two players, Table 3 has three left, Table 4 has two players left... the first round reduces the players from 36 to 24 players, and then they make new groupings.

Round two, 24 players combine to make four tables of six. When it's down to 12 players, there are two tables of six.

When they get to the final SIX that's what we see, so some players may have played each other three times in the above example.
