Pam,
I feel delighted to read your post that you got a collection of Ron Lee's clowns. I am just starting to get serious on the clowns. A friend of mine who is an artist drew me a clown for my Valentine's gift and signed.
I have quite a collection already. I got 4 commercial glass cases that are standing tall to the ceiling full of clowns. They occupy more space than my chips collection.
Ron Lee's started I think in California until he moved to Henderson. I intend to spend sometime in there and spend some money. I also collect works of different internatinal artists like Murano, Oberstein, Radko and two or three more that I cannot remember right now.
Are you going to the convention? You have a very low number R compared to mine which is R-4664. You must be a "veteran" chip conventioner. Last year was my first and I am going this June with Ross Poppel. I will make it to the convention every year - as a "pilgrimage". I simply just adore the sights of the crowd and the people who are in the club are all wonderful guys. There is not a single chipper that I don't like or dislike in any way.
Only Allan McCurdy has seen them as of now.
I am planning to have an open house soon to "show off" my "houseful" collection.
Thank you very much for your post.
Leonidas
