I once posted your question on one of eBay's discussion boards. Most of the sellers quickly took the defensive and stated that they would never leave feedback until the buyer did because that way, they knew the customer was satisfied, etc. Some of the responses bordered on hostile/obnoxious. To say the least, strange group. Most of the buyers agreed with what you said. Like you, I'd never bid on the merchandise of a seller with the sales pitch you encountered.
