...for the most part, the people who use just a first name are either well known within the hobby, or their last name is part of their email address.

...for the most part, posting opinions anonymously is semi-tolerated, but not for very long. Posting ads for items for sale anonymously is not tolerable period. You can be as anonymous or as known as you want to be, but understand that being known in this forum will serve you much better than hiding what is considered to be general information sharing.

...in other words (IOW), you don't have to tell us anything, and we don't have to pay much attention to your posts or buy what you are selling if you don't trust this place or the people who frequent it enough to sign a name to every post that you make.
