Many of us won't go anywhere without a laptop computer so you might be able to do what ever you need to do online in the hotel room of someone who has one. I've been "mobile" for 10 years, bought my newest laptop about three months ago.

...come to think of it, you could probably check your email on the bourse floor on Greg's laptop. He has the webcam running during the convention and all he'd have to do would be open another browser and let you access your email via mail2web.
