As I sit here with my day's first cup of coffee, my little doxie huddled against my leg, I am watching the opening ceremonies of the greatest spectacle in racing. Jim Nabors is singing "Back Home in Indiana. His Voice isn't what it used to be, but I'm a traditionalist, so I love it.
Mary Hullman proclaims, "Lady and gentlemen, start your engines!" This is my 46th time to hear these words spoken at Indie, but my heart still skips a beat.
I have my race lineup, my convention schedule and all my Las Vegas Advisor coupons on the "pie table" beside me. During lulls in the race I'll plan our Las Vegas schedule.
The Indie cars get the green flag and my pulse picks up. Go, Sarah!
LIFE IS GOOD!
