My point is that it NOT ludicrous to envision an individual not voting because there is no on-line option.
The key phrase in my first paragraph is, "any person who cares..." As I see it, the problem is apathy, not inconvenience. Keep in mind that the real problem is a shortage of people nominating, not in the number of people voting for nominees. I believe that if it is worth voting for the finalists, it is worth selecting nominees. Just my opinion.

What I said was, "I doubt that participation would significantly increase." Because the real work of the process is researching (to the best of one's ability) the item that have been realeased in the previous year, members are either too busy or too lazy to nominate. Thus, I don't believe there would be many more people voting on the candidates. I hope some day I am proven wrong.
