Some years back in the Antique Trader when Billy Bob beer was a hot item, in the wanted ads someone offered to pay huge sums for a six pack of the beer. Shortly thereafter the same person (different name) offered six packs for sale at much less cost (tho well above the collector value); that was a scam and I believe the "buyer/seller" was prosecuted. I'm not implying or suggesting that a similar scheme exists here but as you and Robert point out--strange affair.
