The shuffler you saw is most likely the Shuffle Master's Deck Mate that can be in table mounted in front of the dealer or off to the side, or also mounted at the table edge.I am a Shuffle Master shareholder and saw them demoed at the stockholders meeting in Las Vegas in March. A number of CA card rooms are using them. I have watched and it takes about 10 sec. to get out the new deck and put in the old deck for a shuffle.
