IMHO, it seems that this structure will encourage players to gamble it up. It would be better to either get taken out early or amass a large amount of chips, with a decent chance to make more than you have to spend. Survival mode would be very expensive. Adddionally, according to Sklansky, when players gamble, and frequently go all-in, the advantage to the better players is diminished because they can't outplay the others after the flop. I don't know, but I have trouble understanding why this format would be well received.
