After much soul searching, I have decided to collect something.
Up until now, I have pretty much been only a dealer of chips, tokens, dice, and other casino memorabilia.
I really enjoy finding casino memorabilia, and selling it, but I didn't want to collect it.
But, I have decided to collect chips, slot tokens, ashtrays, matchbooks, and other casino memorabilia from the casino where I got my start as a dealer: The El Capitan, in Hawthorne, Nevada.
I moved there in 1977, from all places, Hawthorne, California.
I got a job at the El Capitan as "Slot Security", and after two months they trained me as a craps, blackjack, and roulette dealer.
Both of my daughters were born while I resided in Hawthorne, NV.
I have a lot of fond memories of the El Capitan.
So, if any of you would like to trade any El Capitan items for some of my items, just send me an e-mail: bracken77@earthlink.net
I have a little bit of everything: chips, dice, slot tokens, ashtrays, pens, brochures, programs, napkins, coasters, glassware, slot machine glass, etc.
Please let me know.
And, I hope to see most of you at the CC>CC Convention in June.
I have a table there: Bracken 711 (my eBay username is: bracken711), table #52 (the year I was born, and the year the El Capitan opened)... weird huh?
