I don't know what the limits are on the machines in question, but at the park Place properties in AC there is a 50 coin cut off. Easy way would be to put 51 nickels into a machine and cash out. Then take the ticket to a high denom machine. You get the odd nickel on a ticket and can get the $2.50 out without even playing.
