with regards to the reference book question, I have both TCR and the Campiglia/Wells books, but I prefer the C/W book because of the pictures and because it does give a range of pricing based upon differing chip conditions (instead of only VGD as listed in TCR).

As far as the chip question goes, it would depend on my mood at the moment as to whether I'd buy a mint chip or three lesser condition chips. I've done both...I'd rather fill a hole in my collection with what is currently available and then try to upgrade at a later date if the opportunity arises. I'd always like the mint condition chips...my wallet just won't let me have them all that way!! Steve B
