Just had to be contrary didn't I?
It seems that some states want to milk this cash cow dry. It turns out to be the tax and spend folks.
WI (Dem) gave up the farm for $286 million to bolster the budget. Now it turns out the lifetime exemption for Indian casinos, open hours, open gaming and other lifetime concessions, will fall short by 20%. At least the other states still have some options, even if I don't agree with excessive casino taxation.
I agree about the "Moral Majority" who pound the issue of gambling, but what's funny is that some of my biggest gambling friends are Born-Again's, right wingers, very religious... and wouldn't miss a chance to throw a few hundred on the 21 table or plug a slot.
Don't be misled by the TV talking heads, even the ones who pay for their own time, by begging for donations. They speak only for themselves and their own agenda most of the time.
The anti-gambling entity crosses all religious and political lines, there is no polarity issue on this one.
