I'd say 6. Two consecutive batters could get a hit and be either picked off or caught stealing. Then 3 more hits could load the bases. I'm not sure, but I believe the next batter could also be credited with a single if one runner is thrown out. Perhaps he could also hit a home run and miss first base, and then be declared out. That would make 6. Any of these scenarios possible?
