I have a relative who practised this rather, unorthodox, and IMHO, illegal mail-scam, back in the 80s. He would place an ad in the back of a Tabliod that read: "Earn up to several hundred dollars a month with our "tried and true" mail order method! Anybody can make money from this! 100% legal, 100% profit! Send $5.00 to xxxxxx"

When the unfortunate Rube would send the money, he would send them the information that read: place an ad in the back of a Tabliod that reads: "Earn up to several hundred dollars a month with our "tried and true" mail order method!
