Bob,
Just for an example imagine you sell a chip to another person on Ebay, he is not a club member.
He pays you promptly and you mail the chip to him and post positive feedback.
The next week he emails you and tells you he is disappointed with the chip and he thinks it is counterfeit (he gives no reason for this belief) being an honest ethical seller you tell him you will gladly refund his payment and you are even going to refund him the cost of postage to return the chip. But he is not satisfied. he starts sending you nasty emails, maybe he gets your phone number from Ebay and starts to call you and harass you. He posts negative feedback saying you sold him a counterfeit items and refused to refund him and he files complaints with Ebay which require you to spend time defending yourself.
Has this been a positive experience? Did he deserve positive feedback merely because he paid promptly? Do you do other sellers a service by describing this as a positive experience.
I do agree that a Seller should not insist on positive feedback first, but I think its reasonable to wait until the transaction is over to leave feedback.
