David, Like with any camera, I would also check the manual for sttings. Most good camera's aren't really "point and shoot" anywhere. You may have to change a few settings for indoor shooting. Check the manual first as the Sony is really a decent camera and all of its lines are capable of excellent shots indoors and out.
