David Sarles and I, Barry Weintraub found chips from
the Ambassador Casino in Las Vegas. We believe in
disclosing all information about a chip find....therefore,
here is the information about the inventory of over 3,000 chips from the Ambassador Casino. The casino was opened in 1978 and closed in 1985. The find includes a $5, $25 & $100 chip.
The $5 chip is listed in The Chip Rack (N2328) as a “K” value chip ($60-$74). It is listed in the Campiglia/Wells book at a R-7 (value: $40-$80-$120). The chip is a red hot-stamped
H&C chip with 4 blue inserts. We found over 2,000 of the $5 chip.
The $25 chip is listed in The Chip Rack (V7830) as a “Q” value chip ($200-$249). It is not listed in the Campiglia/Wells book. The chip is a green hot-stamped H&C chip with 4 orange/dark green inserts. We found over 700 of the $25 chip.
The $100 chip is not listed in either price guide and is a black hot-stamped H&C chip with 3 pink/green/grey inserts. We found almost 200 of the $100 chip.
