I didn't know about those other chips being denied as well.
I can see the board's point of view on any chips that might promote porn (such as the older release of the Rivera Porn star chips), and any chips that promotes the mob or organized crime such as the "The Sopranos" show or give inference or glamorize that topic.
I hadn't heard about other casinos not getting some issues approved (i.e., chips with models or other more moral themes) and appreciate that information. Sounds like there might be a crack-down taking place after all.
Maybe I was trying to make the issue too simple. I was thinking that this "chip collecting" theme might be a theme that they didn't want to promote as well and would not specifically allow that reference on a chip. (I doubt if a casino would ever get a Roulette Harvester chip design approved either ).
Hopefully casinos will still be able to produce LE's chips that actually are used to promote a specific event held at the casino. If this is the case, then I doubt it would be the "death" of the LE chip as some others have speculated.
Btw, I also was glad to hear about that so-called 500-mininum rule. Didn't make any sense to me that gaming would approve those ultra limited edition chips in the first place. Heck it was getting so crazy there for awhile that some casinos were producing crazy chip counts such as this one...
