>Are you Muslim and hate to see a powerful Muslim leader get wacked like Sadam?
First I am not a Muslim. Second I am not a fan of Saddam Hussein. Third Saddam Hussein is not a Muslim Leader, his power is secularly based. Most of the Muslim leaders despise Saddam Hussein.
>Are you a peace lover that thinks if we shower the world with love that we will win them over?
Not me, not a peacenik here.
>Are you just a Liberal that thinks W was selected and you are looking for anything that might hurt him?
Interestingly enough the "Liberals" don't want to claim either. I don't believe in public education, Universal Health Care, Social Security, affirmative action or any number of other Liberal causes. I consider myself a classical Liberal which has nothing to do with your use fo the word Liberal. As for being against George Bush, I am not against him just against his policies, that would have been true if Al Gore was Prseident. My opinions are not formulated for the purpose of embarrassing George Bush, I really doubt he cares what I think.
> Are you French and you just lost a ton of money on oil contracts?
No I am not French I have no oil investments (well I have some mutual funds and I guess its possible some of them invest in oil related industries but I have no idea what they invest in).
>yet you don't state your own position
Actually I think I've been clear about it. As a General rule I think it is wrong to use violence. There are some situations where it is justified. I see no justification for the use of violence here. The only argument which comes close is that Saddam Hussein uses violence to oppress the Iraqi people. But those who put forth this argument have failed to indicate why we should deal with that situation in Iraq and not in all the other countries where it is going on. One poster has said that he believes that we should take action in all those situations. I can respect that opinion. What I can't respect is bad logic such as those who say the reason to invade Iraq is because of 9/11 (To me that is like saying we shoould invade Canada because Swiss cheese has holes in it). The argument that we are defending ourselves from Iraq would be logically correct if in fact the underlyinmg facts supported it. They don't.
I do not think it is unpatriotic to disagree with the war.
Nor do I think that my tactic is to cower people with attacks. I question thier claims and ask for answers . . . I don't get answers.
