Not every casino will sell you chips from the cage. All of the big casinos do, but several of the small ones do not and a couple only sell 5 at a time at their cage.

I don't gamble much here in Vegas. When a couple of friends came out to visit a couple weeks ago, we all put in $21 to try to win the 38M Mega Bucks jackpot! Other than that I haven't gambled in months. I only gamble when I have an advantage, that is why I would only gamble on darts and Euchre. (G) Now that I am learning Poker, I will soon start playing that in a casino. (G) Sometimes I gamble on the food at a casino, I am going to roll the dice and try the Prime Rib at the Skyline someday soon. (G)
