If WMD turn up now I would continue to point out that merely possessing WMD is not the same as as threatening the U.S. -- Pakistan a nation known to have supported Al-Queda up until recent events has nuclear weapons. We don't invade them, we probably send them money. And of course that even during two wars with Iraq they haven't used chemical weapons against us demostrates that claims that Iraq is a threat to use chemical weapons against the US are unfounded.

While Iraq's possession of WMD would violate U.N. imposed sanctions on Iraq, it is for the U.N. to punish Iraq for violation of U.N. agreements, not us.

Lastly, even if WMD do turn up, as I would find unlikely that Iraq has no chemical weaponry at all, it is clear that their arsenal of WMD (and it is questionable that chemical weapons be called WMD as they are generally not very effiecient or effective as far as weapons go) is not as extensive as the Bush administration and the media have led us to believe.
