...if all that we shared as people on this BB was a common hobby, it'd be a very boring place.

This is a community of people whose lives are affected by many things outside of our common hobby. Those things, as well as our common hobby, lead to friendships, often times life-long friendships. I'd hope that you don't think that when friends get together, drawn to that place by the common hobby, be it an online forum or chapter meeting or the convention, that they should only discuss the common hobby.

If you didn't know that a post about the Dixie Chicks wouldn't be chip related, I can't help ya.
