I have some respect for Independants. Bill O'Reily has thought out most of his "Independant" positions pretty logically. I don't have much respect for Independants that say there isn't any difference between the Repubs and Demo's! (I am not saying that you are one of them ) I think Independants who say this are confused. When Bill Clinton got that stunning defeat in 94, he almost turned conservative! LOL He knew he could not be re-elected running on a platform of,"Gays in the Military and the Socialistic Hilliary Health Care System" (G)

IMO the biggest problem we have is career politicians. We have too many people in office that have never lived in the real world. When one party wins power in a state, they can redraw all the districts to create many safe wins for their party. That is why you have such extremes in the House of Rep. You have far Left and far Right people able to say anything they want because there is almost no chance that they will lose in their protected district.

I used to think term limits were the solution. The problem is that most places like their US Senator, it is all the other Senator's that are the "problem". IMO all States should limit the State Gov to 2- 4 year terms and Senator's to 2- 6 year terms. 20 years in the Gov max per person. (G)
