Been away from the board for a while but obviously I missed something. Not sure how the French are tied into Canada, or even what this is about, but from reading the string, I assume it has something to do with the French's refusal to back the U.S., once again something I have no idea how Canada is tied into. As for Canada's involvement in the war, we have our three ships in the Strait of Vermuz patrolling and offering cover and assistance, 1/2 of our soldiers scattered across Afghanistan and area, and the remaining three jeeps we have are out for repairs, while the wings on our biplane are not safe for flying! The only assumption I can make at present is that you are upset over Canada's spineless Prime Minister who refused to officially enter the war with the U.S. Many of our soldiers have fought hard in foreign conflicts, including two whom I know personally, in Vietnam, none of them ever getting recognition because Canada never took an official stance on those wars either, but we still participated. IN fact it was only last year that I learned that the Vietnam war is not even recognized on any of our war monuments because "we were not officially there." Tell that to the Canadians who died there. If you are upset over the "supposed" "Screw the Americans" comment that came out in Commons, it was also later noted that the comment was mis-recorded and that was not what was said. If I am missing something or the picture totally, someone please let me know, as I am bewildered by my return to the board to find Mass Anti-Canadian Sentiments! Thanks
