Obviously, David made them and I have acknowledged that repeatedly. However, you said that he made them for the purpose of having dealers sell them as real. There is, as far as I know, no evidence to support that assertion. Do you know something that was not revealed in the brass core investigation?

I have never said David is "innocent". What I have said -- and will continue to say as long as is necessary whenever the issue is raised (and please notice, it was not I who brought it up again) is that what he did does not violate any club rule or ethical provision and that, as a result, he cannot be the subject of sanctions by the club.

And my "defense" is not primarily intended to be of David as an individual, but of the fairness and integrity of our club's system of enforcing ethical standards. If we adopt a rule that we can throw out of the club anyone who does something we don't like, even if it isn't against the rules, then we will have a preposterous rule which insults the intelligence of fair minded people.

I don't know that he has been "barred" from the club. I still haven't been pointed to the board vote which made that decision. Most certainly, Nate does not have the authority to does this unilaterally.

Exactly which "folks" would that be?
When was that vote taken?
What was the vote?
Where has that decision been formally announced?

I take offense at that, Archie. I'm not "dragging" this issue out at all -- for some time now, I have posted on this subject only in response to posts by others. It pains me that people I like and respect are so willing to simply ignore the rules by which we are supposed to be governed.
