Al,
I think you are too cynical for a man your age!
"ANd now we've invaded Iraq, and Haliburton just got a fat contract from the Pentagon to go in after we take over and help get the oil fields up and running again."
I don't understand the problem you have with Haliburton. First, Cheney quit his job there to run for VP at a substantial pay cut. He`also sold all of his holdings in the company well before he really needed to, and at a price much less than he would have realized had he waited a couple months. Second, why shouldn't an American company supply the materials for reconstruction of the oil producing areas of Iraq after the war is over? Who would you suggest should have the contract to supply that equipment? A French company?
I'll be in Vegas the weekend of your house warming, but probably won't have the time on Friday to stop by. ...just in case I do, and you wouldn't mind me being there for a little while, email me the address and directions to get there.
I'm flying in Wednesday April 2nd, will be staying at the Las Vegas Club. There's going to be a fan appreciation party at the LVC Saturday night hosted by the LVC and David Baca's Top Fuel racing team from 7:00 to 9:00. That should be fun! Maybe you can make a trip downtown for that.
