No Norm, I think the reasons you listed are the right reasons. I happen to be of the belief that those are not the reasons that the U.S. is invading Iraq. I believe we're invading Iraq to
1) Divert attention from the fact we haven't gotten Bin Laden
2) Score more oil for Bush's cronies
3) Settle a score between the Bush family and Saddam
If the overall U.S. policy was to attempt to forcibly remove all ruthless dictators from power, that would be one thing. I might support such a policy. Maybe we could start by trying to forec China out of Tibet. OK, they might be too tough a military adversary, but we could certainly use economic pressure. Try to run that past the Republicans. There's too much money to be made there, so we allow monks to be tortured, nuns to be raped, etc, etc.
That makes it hard for me to believe that the U.S. gives a rat's behind about human rights abuses. Which is why I believe that as noble as all of those reasons you listed are, we are invading for all the wrong reasons.
