I guess then in your mind that makes it ok for him to continue torturing children and others because back then he was our ally.
I would not have then or now condone such actions.
And if our government knew for a fact that he was doing this back then, then shame on our government at that time.
I strongly believe that his human rights violations is as much a part of wanting him removed as his threat of weapons of mass destruction.
Yuo still didn't answer my question, you only tried to dodge it. I will ask again.
Are some of these wrong reason?
1. Stopping the torture of children in front of their parent.
2. Torturing and raping women in front of their spouse.
3. Starving to death 5000 children a month.
4. Killing family members of those who oppose Saddam.
5. 4 million Iraqis in exile, trying to make it so they can return home.
Please name some "wrong reasons" that supercede these.
