Basically, scan and save both sides of the chip(s) as separate images. Then, OPEN one of them, double the size of the canvas (not the image, but the canvas) in one dimension only. Then drag the image of the chip from the center of the now larger canvas to one side (or the top or bottom) depending on what dimension you doubled. OPEN the second image (the other side of the chip) and COPY (Control+C) the image into memory. CLOSE that second image and PASTE (Control+V) onto blank area along side the first image that now has a bigger canvas.
Align the two, CROP to adjust the size of the canvas and do SAVE AS. Give it a name and adjust the size of the image (not the canvas) to correspond to an up-loadable image.
