The 534 Club (this is a $20 chip) is from San Diego--closed in 1948. It's claim to fame is that it is said to have been the first club in S.D. that admitted women. My grandmother, a fiery Texas Lady, known as Mother Dixie (and heaven help her grand children if they called her "Grandmother"), was a gambler and card player who lived in San Diego in the 40's--so it's nice to think that maybe she led the assault on the club.
