I have a Mac and a 19" NEC FE950+ monitor...... ....... .... Since getting it, for a long time I set it at 832 x 624 resolution because I liked the big type........ ........ .........But, at that setting, I had trouble with many web sites in that to read a whole page I often had to scroll to the right and left....... ........... I was told that modern web pages are made for 1024 x 768, so I set the resolution to that, got used to the small type, and am very happy with it -- no longer do I have to scroll to the right and left, at least not often.

I don't know that much about computers, but the above was explained to me, and it works for my setup.
