On Friday, March 7, 2003 I was visiting the Casino Pauma in California and playing some roulette. I think this is the only casino in California that has a roulette table. Anyway, I finished cashing out and was about to leave when the table games manager came up to me and asked if I had played roulette and if I had played the blue chips. I said that I might have been playing blue, but I didn’t really know for sure. He said they were missing a stack of blue roulettes and asked if I had left the table with them. I said that I had won some numbers and had been paid with green ($25) chips. I said that I had played all the chips that I had and only left with the green chips. They alleged [maybe right ;-0] that I had taken the chips.
Well, today I was playing Pai Gow Poker at Casino Pauma and was interrupted and told that casino security wanted to talk to me.
They took me back to a security interrogation room where three security guards and table games management told me they have me on tape taking a stack of blue and peach roulette chips. They told me I can either return the chips or be barred from the casino and if I return they will have me arrested for trespassing.
My questions to you is this… what would you do in my situation?
I would really like to know your opinions.
