I didn't know that Gene! ...though there could be winnings if there are no bets made after the initial deal on a forced bet for the shill (everyone checks to the river) and the shill has the best hand, unless NV gaming requires the shill to fold before it gets to that point.
In Colorado, at least when I was a prop, a shill could bet and win for the casino. I only personally knew one shill player. He asked to be switched to prop after about a week. ...or the casino asked him to switch, I'm not sure what the real story was in that case.
