BBS Auction - Pre-Castro Cuban chips..
This is the story:
My sister just returned from Cuba from a teaching seminar. While there she traded some "capitalistic goods" to a Cuban national for a couple of casino chips. She gave them to me as a souivineer of her trip.
Since there hasn't been any casinos in Cuba since Castro took over, these must be from the 1950's.
Anyway I really don't collect chips; I collect slot cards. So I am going to put these chips up for auction here on the Chipboard - Instead of money I want to trade these for slot cards, ANY slot cards.
The person who offers the most cards will take the chips home. Duplicate cards are OK, but not more than 5 of any one card.
Minimum bid is 20 cards. Post your bid as a response to this posting. Auction ends midnight Sunday.
NOTE: The chip on the right appears to be a roulette chip; no markings on it indicate what casino it came from or even if it is Cuban. All I can verify is that it came from Cuba last week.
