Hard Rock chips are already all the rage. They sell out of every issue they make. All they need to do is announce a chip release and people will start getting in line. So why do they need to short print anything? I collect Hard Rocks because I like them. I don't have the all-consuming desire to have every chip, and I won't pay the big bucks to complete the collection. But if you want to get new people into collecting your chips, shouldn't you produce more of them so that they make it the tables? How many potential collectors walk into the Hard Rock and come away with anything other than rounded house chips? I know I started collecting more seriously when I walked into the Harrah's in Kansas City and saw they had several different $5 chips. They caught my interest and I consciously started looking for more. The average Hard Rock customer has no clue that there are dozens of different chips available because they just don't make it onto the tables. That's just my opinion.
