"You never know who owns what with rock groups."
I know that from personal experience Gene! I promoted a concert for a band that had just changed talent agencies. The new agent couldn't give me any promo materials other than a written bio of the band. The band's former agent was taking his time in transferring simple stuff like photos or slides that I could take to the local papers or use in making other promotional materials like posters. The new agent told me that anything that I tried to copy from a CD cover to use to promote the concert could get me into trouble, even if I had written permission from the band.
...that's just one of the reasons I wore the hat of concert promoter for about six months and went back to concert production. Too much risk in a secondary market. I had better odds playing roulette!
