The silliest thing about the whole issue of short printing chips is that the Hard Rock casino LOSES money. I'm sure they notice that just about every release of chips they produce sells out within a few hours. By producing 500 instead of 5000 chips, they miss out on $22,500 in the sale of their chips. If a short printed chip goes up to $50 on the collectors market, the Hard Rock won't see a penny over the face value of the chip, unless Peter Morton uses the alias of Pete Rizzo or Josh Shore to sell his extra chips.
