For a company such as the Hard Rock that does market products (chips) for the collectibles business they sure do come up with a bunch of different ways to upset some in the collecting community.
I know some will say that the Hard Rock is a casino and as such they could care less about the collecting community. Their main business IS operating a casino; BUT the fact of the matter is that they do specifically produce and market casino chips usually expressly for the collecting community.
As a result, you would think that instead of trying to stir up a "buzz", they would try to do things that would continue to support the Hard Rock chips are the premiere chips to collect. Instead they make these wacky release decisions that seem to create bad vibes instead of good ones. Maybe that's their goal!
I do hope that there are enough chips to keep collectors happy and that this does not drive more people away from wanting to continue collecting their releases. Let's keep our fingers crossed.
