"I watched six collectors leave the hobby after 2000's $25 Cinco de Mayo. I know of two more who left after the $25 Sammy Hagar chip. How many $5 collectors will be gone after they cannot complete their $5 Hard Rock collections?

Dave; Why is it that somehow I can't sympathize with collectors who "leave the hobby" after they can't get something?

There are several A.C. chips that I'll never own because of price considerations. Many stamp collectors can't afford Graf Zeps .... or upside down airplane stamps. Not every coin collector can own an 1804 dollar. Doesn't mean anyone should give up a hobby that they truly love. There are plenty of other chips, stamps, coins and tokens and silver strikes to collect.
