I'm certainly not arguing the legal or moral aspect. This all started from my comment of, the reciting of the Pledge of Allegiance is optional in our school system. Then I was enlightened as to the real meaning of the word "optional". I guess all is ok. But I suppose it depends on the definition of "is".
