I think Doctor Bob is referring to real telephone wire which is close to 20 Ga coated wire and comes as about 5 or 6 twisted strands. I got a roll of that stuff 20 years ago when I was in college and it is great stuff. Makes great knots. Drilling holes in the chips is another matter entirely!
