There is no reason to beleieve Saddam Hussein would use Weapons of Mass Destruction on the United States. He in fact had the opportunity in the Gulf War but didn't. He knows the use of WMD against the US would cause immediate massive reprisal. That is not in his self interest. He acts to maintain power not to commit suicide. In actuality an attack on Iraq would be more likely to cause him to use WMD as at that point he would have nothing left to use since he is being personally targeted by the attack.

Of course Brien if you believe that we should attack all names possessing WMD (especially those which mix politics and religion) then I suppose you would support an attack on Israel next.
