Allan, James' post above is my chip. It's maroon with 3 green inserts. He got the scan from the same person I bought the chip from, Les Lawrence, who first posted a scan of this same chip about a week ago.

At some point, somebody was pretty sure the diecar was Reno. Now we have one, and so far only one, sm-key with the exact same hotstamp. Before we assume it's existence casts doubt on the diecar, let's see if we can't figure out why the diecar was labeled Reno. And not just "attributed."

Or we could take out the three hat&cane Monte Carlo NCVs that don't say Reno. And probably a whole lot of other chips without the city on them.

Can't someone tell us why they thought the diecar was Reno in the first place?

BTW, here's the flip side of my chip. Compare the top left insert to James' scan and Les' scan. It's the same chip.
