"I was there & it was one ugly session. Neither you or Katie hit any numbers."
Katie was holding her own, I was the one having the losing session.
I think I have the chronology of that summer figured out.
In May, I met up with Katie and Duane in Laughlin. It was a Friday night, their last night in town, my first. It was the first time I had met Katie in person. I remember walking into the hotel lobby of the Flamingo Laughlin and seeing this pretty girl sitting on a chair, waiting to meet some guy she had never seen before. ...I even remember what she was wearing that night...
My June Vegas visit was the one where I had the $4000 winning session at the French wheel. That session also relates to our not getting a plaque to scan. At one point, I had more than $5000 in jetons in front of me! The reason I had decided to color up and quit playing was because I had lost three spins in a row. I ended up leaving the table with 4 $1000 jetons, the $500 jeton I would give to Katie the next month, and about $350 in smaller value jetons....
July, the night we went to the Paris was Wednesday night after the early-bird reception, I had just gotten into town. Your battery was dead so we went to the Paris in David Moore's van. Thursday night (after doing pretty good in the club's poker tourney) I had a much better session at the French wheel. That session yielded the $1000 jeton in your scan.
August was when I enticed Katie back to Las Vegas with tickets to the first Holyfield/Ruiz fight. That weekend I had the room with the killer views, but that room was on the 18th floor and wasn't a suite. ...an upgraded room for sure, but not the suite.
My September visit was the weekend where the Paris gave me the suite. I had tried to talk Katie into joining me again, but school had started and she was working hard on the final stretch of her Masters Degree and couldn't make it.
....that summer sure was fun!
