He said I can return it... it is a matter of shipping. If he won't refund (even the original) shipping fees, it ain't worth returning. I have emailed him TWICE about this shipping - no answer yet.

And the chip was cheap... but that ain't the point.
Maybe I just need to log out - throw the chip away and go to bed
