I recognize Doug's work. I used to subscribe to Chip Chat since about issue #1. But somehow I neglected to renew and fell off the face of the planet. Always top notch articles, sales and fair prices. I miss it.
Here's the reason I'm asking (I don't know how much the catalog costs?) if I only collect Elko, do I have to buy a catalog to find out if a chip from there is listed? Seems a bit expensive to get a simple answer to a simple question.
Wouldn't a short - (Very short) list of chips for auction, create more interest and better values for the seller? As it stands now, it's kind of a private auction, for those who "buy the book".
I used to buy all the auction guides that I could afford, for all of the reasons mentioned in the replies. Deep history, and much cheaper than buying all those chips! Hertz guides, club auctions and Doug's would fly right up there at the top.
Email me if it's top secret... Any chips from Elko in the auction?
