Last year, I got a fruit basket from "Phil"
I was on my way down to a trade session and ran into Murph. I asked him,
"Hey Murph... Did you get a fruit basket?" (I thought maybe it was a new convention bonus...
He immediately asked me "How much did you LOSE?"

So - I don't know what a host is - or how you get one. I just know they send ya a card and food - and tell ya "to contact them" next time you're coming to town.
I'm too broke and busy to gamble TOO much so it's a strange idea to me.
C'mon you Vegas Pros... explain this concept to us "out-of-towners"
