according to the Reno Bank Club's gaming guide that was copyrighted in 1949!
While the text is identical, in the Boulder Club's gaming guide, the page title is more "politically correct". "FARO BANK in one easy lesson:
"In playing Faro Bank, you place your bes on arious cards on the Faro Layout. The Dealer pulls two cards out of the Faro Box... discarding one and placing the other alongside the Box. If you have bet on an Ace to win, for instance, and the Ace appears IN the box, you win. If the Ace falls alongside the Box, you lose. (Every bet is for even money .)
You can also bet that the Ace falls alongside, and not in the Box, by "coppering" your bet---placing a small checker on top of your bet.
No matter how you bet, if two Acen (or a pair of any other card you are betting on) appear, you lose half your bet."
That's not everything....but it's all I'm gonna type!!
